CROSS HILLS PHARMACY (HEALTH CENTRE)
From 1st November 2011 Cross Hills Pharmacy will open in the Health Centre. The Pharmacy will be open for 100 hours per week, Mon to Sat 08.00—23.00, Sun 10.00—20.00.
The Pharmacy will be located at the front left of the building, in what used to be the front of the new Annexe extension. The recent building work the Practice has undertaken has ensured that accommodating the pharmacy has not meant a reduction in the number of consulting rooms which was key in maintaining the Practice’s current service.
The Pharmacy will be a collaboration between the GP Partners and Pharm-Assist Healthcare Ltd, who are an award-winning small family pharmacy business with the experience of running several pharmacies. The Pharmacy Manager will be Hugh Lindsey, a Pharmacist with over 30 years
experience.
The Pharmacy will offer the following services from 1st November
Telephone ordering facility for repeat prescriptions
On-line repeat prescription facility
Home delivery at convenient times
Free dosette boxes to aid compliance
Blood pressure monitoring
Diabetic screening
Compliance aid management and support
Medicine usage reviews
Stop smoking support
Emergency contraception
Advice on common ailments and health promotion.
The Pharmacy also intends to develop other services in the future such as Warfarin Clinics and Flu Vaccinations and we hope many more.
